Northfield Hospital & Clinics (NH&C) has been recognized with a Path To Excellence award by National Research Corporation, a national leader in the study and measurement of patient experience.
NH&C was recognized for Most Improved Facilities in the category of hospitals with fewer than 100 beds based on patient surveys returned this past year. The percentage increase of medical, surgical and childbirth patients who ranked NH&C among the best hospitals was one of the highest in this category.
Tammy Hayes, Division Administrator for Nursing Services, credited the hospital’s Patient Experience Committee for this recent recognition. The committee was formed in April of 2011 to work on improving patient experience and outcomes by applying evidence-based strategies.
According to Susan Henricks, president and COO of National Research Corporation, the award is a recognition of a healthcare facility putting patients and families first.
“Earning the Path to Excellence award indicates a strong and ongoing commitment to the practice of patient-centered care,” she said
