Northfield Hospital, one of Minnesota’s newest hospital facilities, provides comprehensive care to residents of Rice, Dakota, Scott and Goodhue counties. Combining advanced technology with personalized, patient-centered care, we strive to create a healing environment where patients feel safe, secure and supported.
The current hospital facility opened in 2003 and has been designed to enhance the therapeutic environment. All patient rooms are single rooms offering pleasant views of the surrounding landscape.

The hospital is the anchor of an integrated health campus which includes a long-term care center, FamilyHealth Medical Clinic—Northfield, Women’s Health Center of Northfield Hospital, and specialized facilities for cardiology and oncology.
Northfield Hospital has been designated a Level IV Trauma Center. When the care of an advanced trauma or cardiac center is required, expedited transportation to the Twin Cities or Rochester is available.
