What to Bring With You

During your stay, First Touch Birth Center provides gowns and robes for the mother and T-shirts, diapers and blankets for the baby. You may want to bring personal toiletry items — toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, brush, shampoo, hair dryer — and slippers and personal clothing as desired. New mothers are most comfortable in something that fits at about five months of pregnancy.

For discharge, your baby will need a T-shirt, clothing and blanket(s) appropriate for the weather, and car seat.

The use of cameras during your hospital stay is permitted. Video recording and photos are welcome after mom and baby are stabilized.

Telephones are available in the rooms; push “9” for an outside line. You may call long distance by calling collect, using a phone card or pre-paid calling card, or calls may be made from a cellular phone as long as it is not used within three feet of any patient who is connected to medical equipment or monitoring devices.
