DECEMBER 10, 2021 – The CDC added 16- and 17-year-olds to its recommendation for COVID-19 booster shots.

Monoclonal Antibody treatment helps COVID-19 patients at high risk of serious illness
DECEMBER 8, 2021 – The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) of Northfield Hospital + Clinics is providing monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID-19, in coordination with the Minnesota Department of Health. The treatment is given through injections or infusion to help patients who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, and who are at high risk for progression to serious symptoms or for needing hospital care.
NH+C affirms COVID recommendations with omicron variant in Minnesota
DECEMBER 3, 2021 – A case of omicron variant of COVID-19 in Minnesota was confirmed this week. Early reports say that omicron is highly contagious, maybe even more than the delta variant that’s now widespread across the U.S.
NH+C will review medical information on omicron as that information evolves. We follow guidance from CDC, Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in our safety procedures and our recommendations to patients and the community about COVID-19.

NH+C readies Urgent Care on Highway 3 in Northfield
NOVEMBER 30, 2021 – Northfield Hospital + Clinics is adding an Urgent Care clinic in Northfield, with walk-in care for illness and injuries. Walk in with a problem, walk out with a plan.
The new Northfield Hospital + Clinics Urgent Care Northfield is on track to open in early February 2022, at 2014 Jefferson Road, along Highway 3 at Heritage Drive. It’s convenient care on the south end of town.
Urgent Care Northfield will have evening + weekend hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, plus weekends from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

NH+C opens waitlist for Pfizer vaccine booster shots
SEPTEMBER 28, 2021 – NH+C is scheduling Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booster shots for eligible individuals based on CDC guidelines. That includes people 65 and older; people 18 and older with specific medical conditions; plus healthcare and front-line essential workers.
Pfizer is the only COVID vaccine that has been authorized by the FDA and CDC for booster shots at this time.
