Family Medicine provider Adrianne Westmoreland, DO has joined the Farmington Clinic of Northfield Hospital + Clinics. Dr. Westmoreland cares for patients of all ages.
As a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO), Dr. Westmoreland is a fully trained and licensed medical doctor who takes a holistic view when working with patients.
“Truly treating the whole patient has always been important to me,” she says. “There are so many aspects of a patient’s life that affect their health.” That includes mental health.
Dr. Westmoreland likes to get to know patients very well. “That’s a great aspect of rural medicine: to know people as neighbors in the community gives me a fuller understanding of their lives, and how it affects their health.”
Dr. Westmoreland balances evidence-based medicine with whole-person care to give well-rounded care for patients, and continuity of care at every age and stage of life. She practices preventative care to foster health in her patients.
“You take your car to the shop to change the oil. Your body needs regular maintenance, too,” Dr. Westmoreland says. “If we can prevent disease, then we’re ahead of the game.”
She loves to care for the whole family, from baby to grandparent. “I like being able to be there when patients start life, at the end of life, and everything in between. I have always wanted to be able to provide comfort to those that need it.”
