MARCH 19, 2020 – Northfield Hospital + Clinics is restricting visitors to protect patients and staff from possible exposure to COVID-19 (coronavirus).
NO VISITORS UNDER 18 are permitted in any NH+C facility.
NO VISITORS are allowed in the Long Term Care Center.
Hospital and clinic patients may have visits only from ONE identified support person:
- Must be over 18 and symptom-free
- Must be the same support person for the entire hospital stay or clinic visit
- The visitor must stay in the patient room for the duration of each visit
- Visitors may be screened before entering
There are two exceptions for visitors to the Birth Center:
- If the parent of the child being born is under 18, that parent may attend the delivery. Must be symptom-free. This is the designated support person for the full stay in the Birth Center.
- An established, certified doula who is already part of the birth team may attend the birth, only if symptom-free.
All pediatric clinic appointments are restricted to only one parent/caregiver and no siblings.
These restrictions are in place to protect the health of patients and staff.
This affects all areas of Northfield Hospital, including Medical/Surgical floor, Cancer Care & Infusion Center, Surgery Center, Emergency Department, Imaging, and the Birth Center.
This affects all clinics including primary care clinics, Rehabilitation Services, and specialty care clinics.
