Northfield Hospital & Clinics is an integrated, independent, nonprofit health care system providing exceptional care for our patients through a full complement of health services. We serve patients throughout the Twin Cities south metro and southern Minnesota. We are committed to serving our patients through personal attention and excellent care.
Northfield Hospital & Clinics has a 100+ year history of serving the healthcare needs of local communities. Our individual clinics include primary and specialty care clinics in Farmington, Lakeville, Lonsdale and Northfield. In addition, our network includes: Women’s Health Center, Summit Orthopedic Clinic, Northfield Eye Physicians and Surgeons, Cancer Care & Infusion Center, Breast Care Center, Sleep Center, Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in Lakeville and Northfield and more.

Mayo Clinic Relationship
Northfield Hospital & Clinics (NH&C) and Mayo Clinic work collaboratively to provide specialty services in Northfield and surrounding communities. Mayo Clinic specialists see patients at Northfield Hospital and FamilyHealth Medical Clinics. They are the preferred provider of new specialty care services and bring Mayo Clinic’s knowledge and expertise to patients locally.

Just 30 minutes south of the Twin Cities, Northfield (pop. 21,000) is a charming, historic river town, home to two nationally-ranked liberal arts institutions, Carleton College and St. Olaf College, which contributes to its reputation as a community of ideas and imagination.

The first weekend after Labor Day, everyone pours into town for Defeat of Jesse James Days. This annual festival resembles a mini-state fair and receives high marks for its dramatic and authentic re-enactment of the attempted bank robbery in 1876 by Jesse James and company.
The St. Olaf Christmas Festival and Winter Walk bring the holiday season to life, and every three years the Vintage Band Festival deliver s 100 inspiring concerts over four days in August.
Farmington is a rapidly growing city located on the southern edge of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, just 13 miles north of Northfield. This community of 22,000 is building on its small-town, rural heritage and evolving into a diverse community that embraces change and growth.
