Registration is required for ALL classes and is available online 24 hours a day. No walk-ins will be allowed. Course size is limited. Registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. A waiting list will be established. Agencies can be invoiced. Discounts may apply, contact us for more information.

Our EMS Education program is designed to provide quality, local, EMS education while meeting the scheduling needs of the adult learner. Interactive, personalized learning. We want YOU to learn. Our instructors understand that students learn in a variety of ways. We meet with each student individually to make sure our education is meeting the needs of the student. Our courses are tailored to encompass a variety of learning styles.  Hands-on, scenario-based learning is a core concept of our program.

Emergency Medical Responder Initial Hybrid Course (EMR) 
This Hybrid in-classroom and online course will prepare the participant to become an Emergency Medical Responder with the State of Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (EMSRB). The program follows a rigorous course of study that includes online lecture, online testing, assignments and practical skills. The opportunity to sit for National Emergency Medical Responder Certification examination is available by advanced request. This course acts as Part 1 of 2 for Emergency Medical Technician Completion Course. EMR Initial Hybrid Course is also available in an accelerated format.

These specialty education courses are intended for the newer healthcare professional to gain introductory experience with obtaining IV access, basic intravenous fluid administration, obtaining cardiac monitoring, electrocardiogram rhythm recognition, and basic12-lead EKG interpretation. Actual implementation of these skills is dependent on the individual's scope of practice.

This scenario-based learning course will prepare the student to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Students who successfully complete this course will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) practical and written exams. The program includes online content, lecture, scenario-based learning format, practical skills, and field internship. Bridge EMT courses are available for the current EMR (First Responder) and  Healthcare Professionals (LPN, RN, RT, MD, DO, NP, PA) New!

Emergency Medical Responder Refresher Course (EMR Refresher) 

This 16-hour course will allow the participant to renew his or her Emergency Medical Responder registration and is designed to meet the requirements of the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Board (EMSRB) EMR Refresher requirements. This course includes AHA CPR Basic Life Support certification renewal.

This 24-hour course will allow the participant to renew his or her Emergency Medical Technician registration and is designed to meet the requirements of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Emergency Medical Technician refresher. The curriculum is based on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration National EMS Education National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) (2016). This course includes AHA CPR Basic Life Support certification renewal. NCCR: 20 hours, ICCR: 4 hours.

These American Heart Association courses allow the student to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. The Basic Life Support (BLS) course results in certification for the Healthcare Provider. Heartsaver courses are designed for the non-healthcare provider, such as community members, childcare providers and industrial repsonse teams to become certified in CPR, AED and First Aid skills. Blended eLearning Courses also available!

This American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course results in the renewal or initial certification (ACLS). All renewal courses must be completed within 6 months of the end of the expiration month listed on your current certification card. Students presenting for a renewal course must provide their current ACLS card for expiration date validation. Blended eLearning ACLS HeartCode Courses also available!

The Emergency Nursing Assosciation provides education to, "Improve patient outcomes, advance your career and earn CNE with evidence-based emergency nursing education and resources." Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) available throughout the year. Courses are provided by ENA certified instructors.

The mission of NAEMT education is to improve patient care through high quality, cost effective, evidence-based education that strengthens and enhances the knowledge and skills of EMS practitioners. NH+C EMS is a NAEMT Training Site, and provides Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Initial and Renewal Courses.

Customized Education Services (CES) are available through NH+C EMS Education. Contact us for more information about customized, private and on-site education services for your agency. All of our EMS Education, American Heart Association, Emergency Nurses Association, and National Association of Emergency Medical Technician courses can be held on-site! Minimum class sizes apply.
