Birth Center, Northfield Clinic and Women’s Health Center expansions begin

We’re rolling up our sleeves starting Sept. 11 with two big construction projects – expanding the Birth Center, plus the two clinics on the Northfield Hospital campus.

All services will continue during construction. Please plan extra time for parking.

We’re expanding the Northfield Clinic and Women’s Health Center to add exam rooms and remodel current space – to give you more access to care, with more appointment times available and more providers to choose from. This expansion will be complete in April 2020.

We’re expanding our popular Birth Center to add another labor & delivery room, a tub for water births, a dedicated surgical suite for cesarean sections, and more family-centered patient rooms to bond with your baby. This expansion lets us accommodate more births at the same time, as more families across the region choose our Birth Center to welcome their babies. This expansion will be complete in July 2020.

All services will continue during construction.

Visitor parking will be clearly marked with signs. Drop-off and pick-up of passengers is an option at the main entrance of the hospital under the covered driveway. This is a fire lane; no parking is permitted. No parking is allowed on the ring road around the outskirts of campus.

Our goal is minimal disruption for patients, visitors and staff. We appreciate your patience as we expand to better serve our communities now and in the future.

“We’re proud of our growth as a regional medical center,” says NH+C CEO Steve Underdahl. “As communities around us grow, and more people choose NH+C for their care, we’re poised to meet the growing demand for expert, personalized care close to home.”
