Improving Your Ability to Communicate - Speech Therapy

Being able to communicate clearly is an essential part of life. If you are having difficulty with your speech as a result of an illness or injury, we can help.  Speech-Language Therapy provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and cognitive-communication for individuals of all ages, from infants to adults.  We can help you recover your language and cognitive skills and teach you alternative ways to communicate, if needed. We can also assist you with any swallowing difficulties.  Speech-Language Therapy can be beneficial to individuals who suffer from the following problems:

  • Articulation and/or language delay
  • Cleft Palate
  • Head injury
  • Hearing loss and deafness
  • Learning disability
  • Neurological disorders such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s Disease
  • Stroke

If you are home bound and need speech therapy services at home, we can help. We will coordinate your care through either Northfield Home Care, a service of Northfield Hospital or  Rice County Home Health Care
