OCTOBER 18, 2022 -- Dr. Ngoc (pronounced “knock”) Vu believes in meeting patients wherever they are at in their lives.

Dr. Vu has joined the Women’s Health Center at Northfield Hospital + Clinics, caring for women of all ages. From delivering babies to menopause, Dr. Vu offers expert care focused on the whole person.

“Health is integrated in every aspect of our lives,” Dr. Vu says. “The more you know about factors that affect a person’s life, the better you can find a solution for them. My job as doctor is to say, ‘You have options.’ When people know they have options, they feel empowered.”

That’s especially true for women: “Women often take care of others and neglect their own health,” Dr. Vu says. “I want to educate women about their bodies, so they feel comfortable seeking care for themselves.

“I want women to know they have power, and they are valued, so that they care for their health.”

Dr. Vu sees patients at the Women’s Health Center on the Northfield Hospital campus.

“I’m looking forward to building long-lasting relationships with patients and really getting to know them and their families,” she says.

Dr. Vu has an affinity for providing gender-diverse care: “There is such a need for transgender and gender-affirming care. There’s a vast body of knowledge that has yet to be actualized into quality health care, and I love partnering with my patients to contribute to that goal.”

Dr. Vu has a soft spot for pregnant women, too: “They’re so motivated during this special time to prioritize their health and their baby, to be their best possible self to nourish this new life,” she says.

“My patients are treasures, and I love sharing my medical expertise with them while they share extraordinary snapshots of their lives with me.”

Dr. Vu earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and completed her residency and internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She is board-eligible for OB/GYN care.
