Six Questions with Maggie Storlie, MD

February 3, 2022

First job? Dishwasher at the local supper club, at age 14. I was the owner’s babysitter, and got promoted when the dishwasher walked out on a busy night. I worked there until college.

Free time? I spend my free time on Farmington youth sports, more Farmington youth sports, gardening, tending to our family farm, sewing (especially dance costumes), and hanging out with the other dance moms.

Best part of your work? Longitudinal relationships. My philosophy is to treat every patient as though they're family or a friend. In our community, they probably already are!

Best advice you ever got? We must remember that a patient’s goal for their life and their choices may not match the goals that we have for them. Ultimately, the patient gets to choose.

Why healthcare? The human body is an absolute marvel. It’s incredibly fun to study.

If not healthcare, what else? I’d be a full-time seamstress.
