SEPTEMBER 2, 2022 – The FDA has authorized and CDC has approved new versions of COVID vaccine boosters from Pfizer and Moderna.
“Updated booster” vaccine is not yet available to NH+C. We are not scheduling appointments for updated boosters. We’ll start scheduling appointments when vaccine is available to us.
You may be able to get an updated booster sooner at Walgreens or CVS – check for appointment options on their websites
These updated boosters are designed to protect against Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 variants of COVID, which account for the majority of cases currently. Each is a single booster dose, given at least 2 months after your last dose of COVID vaccine. Pfizer is for people 12 and older; Moderna is for people 18 and older.
